At Teaching Personnel we understand that being a permanent classroom teacher is not what every teacher wants to do. Supply teaching is an extremely rewarding, and profitable use of a teaching degree, providing good teachers with the flexible hours, the work life balance, and the stress free teaching that they deserve.

We work closely with a number of Secondary Schools across Derby and Derbyshire who require teachers on a day to day and short term basis to cover sicknesses, course covers and a range of other needs right through to longer term and even permanent positions.

A Supply teaching role with Teaching Personnel includes:

  • Being able to take on roles in a flexible timetable to suit you
  • Day to day, and short term cover that may have the potential to lead on to a long term role (if interested) 
  • Covering a range of subjects, which can include Maths, English and Science, amongst other subjects
  • The opportunity to earn GBP100 - GBP145 per day, paid weekly via PAYE (no umbrella companies)

As the Leading Supply Teaching agency, Teaching Personnel are looking for candidates who are comfortable in managing all types of classrooms and are confident with providing outstanding teaching for our schools. Strong behaviour management is an essential requirement for Supply Teacher roles. Experience teaching within secondary schools is preferred, Newly Qualified Teachers will also be considered.
