Year 3 Primary Teacher (0.4 Contract) – Crawley

Salary: M1–M6 (Paid to scale, pro rata)

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive school community in Crawley from September. This is a 0.4 part-time, permanent position (2 days per week), with flexibility on which days are worked.

This role is ideal for a passionate educator – whether an experienced teacher or an ECT – looking to make a meaningful impact in a lower Key Stage 2 setting that values both academic progress and pupil wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons for a Year 3 class

• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued

• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and wider school staff

• Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

• Maintain consistent, positive behaviour management strategies

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers about learning and wellbeing

• Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider school life

About You

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Good knowledge of the Year 3 curriculum and expectations

• Experience in lower KS2 (desirable, but not essential – ECTs welcome)

• Creative, organised, and reflective approach to teaching

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

• Passionate about nurturing young learners in a supportive setting
