Full-Time Religious Education (RE) Teacher
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Contract: Fixed-term (1st September 2025 – 19th December 2025)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated RE Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive secondary school community in Chorley on a full-time, fixed-term basis from 1st September 2025 to 19th December 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students in exploring a broad and inclusive Religious Education curriculum that encourages critical thinking, respect, and understanding.
The Role:

Teach RE across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcome but not essential)

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that reflect a wide range of beliefs and worldviews

Support student progress through high-quality feedback and assessment
-
Work collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
-
Have strong subject knowledge in Religious Education
-
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
-
Be passionate about encouraging students’ spiritual, moral, and cultural development

Be committed to high expectations and continuous improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
