Sports Coach

Job description

A reputable primary school in Barnet is currently searching for a passionate sports coach to join them in September teaching Year 3, 4, 5 and Year 6 classes. In their last Ofsted review they were rewarded Outstanding due to the quality of teaching and support that students receive. The school is a two form entry and is partnered with a nursery school to provide stability to all students with a focus on developing character. All classrooms are equipped with modern equipment and the children have access to a large library which is stocked termly with new resources. The school is hoping within the upcoming year to gain funding to become a tree from entry school as the area continues to grow rapidly.

Ideally you will have a Sports Science degree or relevant experience coaching kids that range from 4 to 11 years old. You will be based in a primary school in the boroughs of Brent and Barnet, where you will conduct hourly sessions with various year groups. The school has recently received funding specifically to be utilised on a range of programmes and activities to encourage kids to become more active.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
