Job description

Part-time positions for Specialist Tutors commencing immediately. If you are a Qualified Teacher or Tutor looking for an opportunity to work flexible hours this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This particular tuition will take place in the Manchester brough and could be carried out in the young person's home, their residential care home, or an agreed public venue. The young people may have a variety of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, and could display signs of challenging behaviour.

Pupils could be extremely disengaged with education, and working at much lower levels than expected. Experience with young people of this nature would be beneficial - you must be able to build trust and rapport easily and be able to tap into what motivates them, as well as having the subject knowledge.

Each referral is usually for 8-10 hours per week, and you can take on as few or as many as you wish!

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience
  • A passion for supporting pupils with significant difficulties
  • Be readily available
