A small, non-denominational independent girls’ school in Ilford are seeking a secondary part- time(0.6) Religious Education teacher, to commence in January.

This role requires an experienced teacher familiar with the demands of the GCSE curriculum.

About the School-

The small all girls independent school prides itself on a warm, welcoming and family atmosphere. It aims to provide a full educational program for girls of infant, junior and secondary school age. It has an above average pupil-teacher ratio allowing for more attention to be given to helping each pupil individually.

The departments within the school are also small and staff meet regularly with the head teacher to discuss concerns, policies and targets.

The school is located less than a ten minute walk from Ilford station with tube(central line) and bus links also at a convenient distance.

Essential Requirements:

-Qualifications: All candidate must be qualified teachers with QTS status, with academic and teaching qualifications appropriate to the age range being taught

-Evidence of commitment to relevant professional development and effective curriculum development, and a willingness to adapt to new approaches to teaching

-Possess good presentation skills, excellent listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues

-A commitment to school priorities and willingness to become involved in school and departmental planning.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
