Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons catered to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assess individual student needs and develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning abilities
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and track student progress to ensure educational goals are met

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Previous Teaching Experience
  • SEN Experience
  • Passion for Education
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proactive and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Strong behavioural management skills
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
  • Patience and empathy towards students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Additional training in inclusive education practises

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily within a school setting
  • Regular interaction with students, parents, and educational staff
  • Potential for occasional off-site meetings or training sessions
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work for school events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
