English teacher for Maternity cover starting in September

We are currently recruiting for an ambitious, creative and enthusiastic English teacher within the Darlington area. One of our client schools is currently recruiting an English Teacher who can teach to KS3 and KS4 whilst their teacher is off on maternity. The successful candidate should have excellent subject knowledge and can deliver engaging lessons. In addition, classroom experience within a similar environment is preferable to meet the expectations of the school.

  • English teaching role
  • Full time (Maternity cover)
  • Available to start in September
  • Daily rates between £120-£180

Overview

  • Delivering the English curriculum to Key Stages 3&4
  • Organising and delivering classroom lectures to students
  • Preparation of classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, handouts and setting assessments to challenge the students
  • Opportunity to develop new skills- particularly the ability to teach to an advanced level, achieve an excellent attendance record, develop your communication skills
