Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a highly reputable secondary school in Bolton. Due to an upcoming maternity leave within the English faculty, the school wish to appoint a full-time English teacher to join their team from September 2020.

This position will be offered until Easter 2021 and the school are welcoming applications from both experienced and newly qualified English teachers. The role will incorporate teaching English across Key Stage Three and GCSE and full planning and marking will be expected of the incoming English teacher.

-          Full-time English teacher required, maternity cover from September 2020.

-          Teaching across KS3 and GCSE in an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school.

-          Both experienced and newly qualified English teachers welcome to apply, full support provided.

-          Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490).

-          Located in Bolton, accessible via the M61 motorway.

This well managed secondary school and sixth form has recently been refurbished and the English faculty is set in one corridor, with eight state of the art classrooms, an open learning library and facilities for intervention. The incoming English teacher will have their own classroom, and an English specialist Learning Support Assistant to assist with identified pupils that require additional support in each lesson.

With over 1500 pupils on roll, our partner RC secondary school and sixth form is oversubscribed and pupils achieve higher than the expected grades in all subjects. The school is situated near to the Astley Bridge area of Bolton and can easily be reached via the M61 motorway. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from Chorley, Bury and Wigan.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
