Teacher of Art - Outstanding School

Full time permanent teacher of Art required for outstanding secondary school base in Fleet from January 2020, suitable for qualified or experienced teachers.

Teaching Personnel are working alongside our client school who are an outstanding school in Fleet, to provide a high quality permanent member of staff to join their Arts department working in conjunction with the other members of staff in the faculty to develop and build the curriculum to ensure the highest level of academic achievement, alongside building ambition and interest for Arts within the school community.

This role is suitable for an NQT, and you will be fully supported allowing you to complete a portion of your NQT year if relevant alongside a dedicated qualified mentor with a personally built and tailored plan for you to ensure your development and to fill in any gaps in your subject or pedagogy knowledge.

The school have said "Art has always been a successful department in the school and we have also run a very popular photography course alongside it at GCSE. We have a recently-appointed Head of Department who is full of new ideas and we are looking for someone to join the team at this exciting time when we're renewing the department. Alongside a new Head of Music and a recently-appointed Head of Drama, we are looking to make the arts central to what we do at Court Moor and looking for a colleague to be part of this renaissance. We have two specialist art rooms, a kiln room and a small suite of computers for digital work. Our ambition is for art to infiltrate the whole school through displays, exhibitions and cross-curricular projects."

The school itself is Ofsted Outstanding, and have been for multiple years, with a strong and reliable team of SLT and a clear path to future success. The school have been improving their grades steadily throughout the past 5 years and have handled the changes to the grading system very well improving their grades this year.
