Job description

A school in Tameside is looking for a Spanish Teacher to join the teaching staff post February Half Term.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with QTS to develop their teaching experience further, teaching Spanish to Years 7 -11.

It is expected that the required teacher will have solid grounding when it comes to delivering GCSE curriculum.

There will be opportunities to work with students on an intervention basis, developing student knowledge on a small group basis. This will be of benefit to both the educator with regards to their teaching methodology,  and the students involved in looking to enhance overall attainment within Spanish.

The applicant will need to have the relevant skills in order to successfully work with the school’s pupils with SEN. This will include developing resources and educational material that is suitable in meeting the needs of these students, allowing them to engage with thee mainstream process as much as possible. It is imperative that the educator can set realistic goals for students, yet ensure that they are challenged appropriately.

Given the heabily interrupted year that students have had thus far owing to the ongoing pandemic, the required applicant will be able to develop strong working relationships both with other staff as well as pupils. Being able to display empathy and compassion is important during these very challenging times is also of high importance.

The school’s location in Tameside is easily accessible from Manchester city centre. 

Both the M60 and M67 motorways are located close to the school site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
