Spanish Teacher

An oversubscribed Secondary school in Salisbury that takes great pride in being an exciting place to learn, is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Spanish on a full time basis, a position that begins in September.

The role includes teaching Spanish up to and including Key Stage 5.

The school is offering flexibility on recruiting the perfect candidate as they are happy to appoint immediately on a permanent contract while also considering a temporary to permanent approach, whereby both you and the school agree to begin the assignment on a supply basis with a view to the role becoming permanent during the autumn term.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Adhering to the school's policies and procedures
• Providing pupils with necessary feedback, encouragement and support
• Meeting with pupils' parents to discuss their academic progress at parents' evenings
• Setting the right example at all times
• Occasionally, you may supervise pupils during events and projects outside of the classroom such as cultural outings, field trips and excursions

Requirements of the candidate:

• You MUST hold UK QTS or be suitably qualified to teach in UK schools
• Dynamism, motivation and engagement
• To be open to the possibility of a permanent contract
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to raise standards
• To possess effective classroom management strategies
• Having a DBS already on the Update Service or the willingness to complete a new DBS application
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
