Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for an inspiring and dynamic Science Teacher, to work within a high achieving Science department. This role is to teach KS3 and KS4 students, the ideal candidate can specialise in Chemistry, Biology or Physics. We would be delighted to hear from experienced, recently qualified or newly trained teachers with a real enthusiasm for Science. Our school seeks a science teacher who can genuinely stimulate, motivate and inspire students, most importantly encourage a positive environment and relationship with the pupils.

This post is situated in North Devon, starting after Easter until the end of the academic term. The role is based on a 0.5 timetable with the opportunity of it being full time.

As a successful Science Teacher you are expected to:

  • Have the capability to encourage, inspire and engage students
  • Undertake teacher responsibility including planning, preparing lessons and marking
  • Have an expertise in science (could be biology, chemistry or physics)
  • Provide effective feedback to students that will enable them to set clear individual targets
