Physics Teacher- Wigan
Teaching Personnel have been approached by one of our partner secondary schools in Wigan to recruit for a Physics Teacher to start from April 2018. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Physics Teacher to work at an Ofsted rated GOOD school which has an outstanding reputation within the local area.
Due to a current gap within their Science department, the Head of Faculty is seeking a Physics specialist to teach the GCSE classes and deliver the KS3 Science curriculum.
- Full time Physics Teacher position

- Required to start after the Easter holidays until the summer initially.
- There is also the possibility of this position extending from September.
The Science department at the school enjoy year on year success with 90% of students achieving an A*-C grade at GCSE. Further, an average of 35% of pupils achieve an A*-A grade. Specifically for Physics, pupils achieved 91% A*-C grades and 34% pupils achieved A*-A grades.
Within their latest Ofsted report the behaviour of the pupils was highlighted to be impeccable. Further, the Senior Leadership team were highly commended for the support and development that they offer to the teaching staff.
Our partner school is over subscribed with over 1200 pupils on roll. A large percentage of the pupils who attend are from White British backgrounds. It is located on the outskirts of Wigan and is very close to the East Lancashire road. This ensures it is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of St Helens, Warrington and Bolton. There are also direct public transport links from Wigan town centre.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
