PE Teacher - September 2019

Job description

Are you seeking a supportive and welcoming PE department where you can take your career to the next level and be given the opportunity to take on added responsibility?

There is currently an open gap in the PE department for the upcoming academic year for a full time PE Teacher or Newly Qualified PE Teacher to cover a maternity. This position will be for at least 6 months, however due to the nature of maternity covers we do predict that this could be extended and we would also welcome applications from PE Teachers seeking a permanent position due to the potential expansion of the department.

  • Full time position for a PE Teacher or Newly Qualified PE Teacher, covering a maternity for at least 6 months.
  • Working within a large modern secondary school in Oldham with state of the art facilities and a welcoming and supportive PE department.
  • Paid in line with teaching scale point (MPS/UPS) and responsibilities upheld (£23,720 - £39,406)
  • Located a short distance from the Hollinwood Interchange off the M60 with free on site parking for staff

The Head Teacher has opened this gap to Newly Qualified PE Teachers as well as PE Teachers with more experience seeking a fresh challenge and has stated that the successful candidate will be appointed due to their individual characteristics and what they can bring to the school, rather than past work experience. Incoming Newly Qualified PE Teachers can benefit from joining a very welcoming and supportive PE department which currently has 2 other PE NQTs starting in September 2019 and will benefit from a bespoke NQT programme, tailored to your individual needs and ambition as a PE Teacher. More experienced PE Teachers or those who show real ambition will be given the opportunity to take up added responsibility within the school, with this being reflected in your pay package.

For immediate consideration, simply apply via the link provided with an up to date copy of your CV and a cover letter. Alternatively, for further information on this role or other PE Teaching positions, call Jack at the Manchester Secondary Branch of Teaching Personnel today.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
