Teaching Personnel, the market leader of recruitment in the education sector, are currently working in partnership with our client secondary school in the centre of Wigan who is seeking to appoint Music Teacher from September 2019.

This temporary post will last is being advertised for a term in the first instance; however this may then be extended for the remainder of the academic year (Performance dependent).

• Full time Teacher of Music from September 2019
• Employment for one term in the first instance (December 2019.)
• Required to have recent experience teaching Music to KS3 and GCSE.
• Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Our client school is ideally situated in the centre of Wigan, an ideal location if you are travelling via public transport. If commuting by car then the school has onsite car parking and is just minutes away from the A58. The school has good facilities throughout, with Music being a popular subject amongst pupils at GCSE level. The school is smaller than the average Secondary school and currently has around 700 pupils on roll

In order to be considered you must be able to teach engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4. Pupils in Years 7, 8 & 9 receive one 60 minute lesson a week and are taught in mixed ability groups. Pupils in Years 10 & 11 receive three one hour lessons a week and follow a two year GCSE course which incorporates the three disciplines of performance, composition and listening.
