Stockport based secondary school are looking to appoint a Maths teacher for January 2019 for an upcoming staff departure, due to relocation.
This high achieving secondary school are willing to take on experienced Maths teacher or those who are newly qualified in Mathematics.
Highlights of this Maths teaching post;
- Full time position from January with the potential to become permanent after 2 terms
- Pay ranging on the scale point £22,917-£38,633

This is a full time Maths teaching post where the successful applicant will be expected to plan and mark their own work. One of the top three performing schools in the borough, for 2017 the school had a positive Progress 8 score, and the incoming member of the Maths faculty will need to have a proven track record of achievement through their teaching or academic background. In 2017, the school received a Good grading from Ofsted with leadership and management highlighted as a key strength.
Located in the SK7 post code of Stockport this is initially on a temporary basis from January until July through Teaching Personnel with the option of a school based contract following this. This mixed traditional 11-16 comprehensive also has a sixth form so there is potential to teach AS and A level Mathematics in the future. Situated in a leafy area there are low levels of pupils eligible for free school meals or who use English as an additional language. With a train station close by there are also regular bus routes for those who don't drive.
Essential criteria for this Maths position;
- Qualified teacher status in the UK and experience teaching in a UK secondary school
- Suitable teaching references
- Eligibility for a fully enhanced DBS certificate
