Maths Teacher – Maternity

Teaching Personnel are working with a large secondary school, located in the area of Bolton to appoint a Maths teacher for a Maternity cover starting on their return from the half-term break.

  • Maths teacher required for a Maternity cover starting on the 29th October.
  • Competitive pay in line with newly introduced MPS/UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)
  • Temporary employment for the remainder of the academic year. (Extension opportunities into the 2020 - 2021 academic year are extremely likely.)
  • Teaching Maths to pupils aged 11-16 at both KS3 and GCSE level.

The school are seeking to appoint a Maths teacher that has recent experience delivering Maths to pupils aged 11-16 at GCSE level. The incoming teacher will take full responsibility for planning and marking and will set high expectations from their pupils to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes at GCSE.  

If successful you will join a school that is heavily invested in the progress of their pupils and ensures that they have access to the best possible learning resources. Classrooms in the Maths department are equipped with interactive whiteboards & the Maths department also has two computer rooms, which enables pupils to access maths software as part of their learning.

This school is a larger than average 11-16 mixed comprehensive (1300 on roll) and serves a diverse catchment area of both Bolton and Salford. The school have made dramatic progress in recent years following a re-structuring of the senior leadership team. In a recent Ofsted inspection pupil behaviour was judged as ‘Good’ whereby pupils engage well within lessons and are keen to learn. Located on the outskirts on Bolton in Farnworth, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas, Salford, Bury, Wigan and Manchester.
