"We are looking for a History teacher to join our successful Humanities department for the half term from May until the end of the academic year. This will be to start on Monday 3rd June for the half term with the successful History teacher required to take on planning and marking responsibilities. We are encouraging from teachers of all experience levels including newly qualified teachers as well as those who are more experienced. The successful History teacher will be teaching across KS3 and KS4, specifically year 7 - 10."

Our client secondary school situated in the central Manchester area is looking to recruit a passionate and confident History teacher starting after the May half term. This is a full time teaching position for half a term in the first instance. This is to cover a planned upcoming long term absence within the department.

Liaising closely with the Head of Humanities/Assistant Head teacher, the school require an effective classroom practitioner to join this good school. The teacher of History can be a NQT, fully qualified teacher or an existing supply teacher with the ability and experience in teaching History from year 7 - 10.

Highlights of this History teaching position:

  • Pay between £500 - £825 per week depending on experience and pay scale
  • Work within a highly supportive Humanities department where each member of staff (supply and support included) is a valued member of the team
  • Work within a 'Good' secondary school in the Central Manchester area
  • CPD opportunities are plentiful via the Teaching Personnel Academy as well as internally with the school

The school is based in the Central Manchester area close to the South areas of Burnage, Chorlton and Stockport which are very easily accessible from any of the surrounding areas of Trafford, Wythenshawe and Stretford. The M60 motorway network is very nearby making this school easy to get to for any car drivers. The school has a secure on site car park and is set in pleasant surroundings.
