History Teacher

History teacher required to work within a medium sized secondary school in the heart of Northamptonshire.

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a History Teacher who has experience teaching History to students from KS3-KS5. The History Teacher role will involve teaching History to secondary school students, with a range of different academic abilities. With planning and marking involved, working full time and having the opportunity supporting educational trips abroad with the students. This opportunity is due to start after October Half Term and last the full academic year, with the opportunity for a permanent placement.

Job description:

  • Must have QTS or NQT status
  • Experience within a secondary school
  • Strong knowledge of the History curriculum
  • Ideally someone looking to grow and develop throughout the Secondary School
  • Good understanding of the Teaching Standards
  • Strong communication skills

In the first year of the current Head teacher's leadership (2017/2018 academic year) the school has achieved its best ever exam results, with all students achieving an average of half a grade more in every qualification than the previous year. As a result of this, the school can now be considered one of the highest performing schools in Northampton.
