Well regarded South Manchester secondary school have urgent need for Geography teacher from September

Due to a maternity absence being brought forward, our client school has a need for a qualified Geography teacher to join their department from September for a minimum of two terms. The school are looking for a Geography teacher with previous experience teaching at GCSE and a willingness to contribute to the wider scale of the department.

* 2 term, full time Geography teaching post

Our client school is a much smaller than usual mixed comprehensive academy in Wythenshawe, accessible from Manchester via the M56 and M60 from Manchester and surrounding areas. The school is sponsored by local University and businesses and has seen a drastic turn around in performance levels across Key Stages 3 and 4, and was recently in the Top 100 Most Improved Schools in the UK and the top 5% of most improved GCSE results. This is accredited to strong governance by senior leadership and middle-management that have all put in great effort to skilfully and successfully implement and see through a detailed action plan. Teaching and learning is at the forefront of the schools ethos with striving for excellence in all avenues a focus for students and staff alike.

The school are looking for a Geography teacher who has a track record of delivering high calibre lessons across Key Stages 3 and the desire to raise attainment across the age and ability ranges. The school are ideally looking for someone with QTS including newly qualified teachers, but those with other relevant teaching based qualifications will also be considered.
