A mixed comprehensive secondary school in the Tameside area is looking for a Geography teacher to start with them at the beginning of the academic year, in September. The school require this teacher of Geography on a full time basis to start at the beginning of the academic year as a result of a gap in their Humanities department.
The Head of Geography said of the position:
"We require a motivated and innovative Geography teacher who can hit the ground running from the beginning of the Autumn term. We return to school on Tuesday 4th September and will provide full support to the successful Geographer. Newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply as we are able to support their induction year, given that this position is for a term in the first instance, but likely to continue for the right candidate. The successful Geography teacher will be teaching at KS4 level in the main and will have the opportunity to go on a number of our field trips organised within the department"
Highlights of this Geography teaching position:
- Pay ranging between £95 - £150 per day depending on payscale and experience

The successful Geographer will be expected to fully immerse themselves in school life. All staff, on supply and contracted is treated as member of the school with full support from the leadership team. The school is a good school by way of Ofsted rating and is an integral part of the local community.
The school is located in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester, close to the M67 and M60 motorway network. It is also close to the local train station making it very easy to access from the Derbyshire area of Glossop and on the direct train line from Manchester city centre.
