Our client sixth form college is looking for a Biology specialist to join their team starting at the beginning of October. This will be to complete a maternity leave which is due to start at the beginning of the October half term. The successful Biologist will be team teaching for the period between 1st October and the half term whilst the current teacher of Biology winds down with their timetable.

This position is ideal for a Biology specialist who is able and experience with teaching A-level Biology; looking to teach in a supportive and academic environment. This sixth form college is the further education college of choice for a lot of students in the centre of Manchester making it over subscribed and a great place to teach at for any prospective teacher.

Highlights of this Biology teaching position:

  • Pay ranging between £100 - £160 per day depending on prior experience teaching A-level Biology
  • Full time Biology teaching timetable at AS and A2 level
  • Official start required at the beginning of October but able to take the successful Biology teacher at the October half term

This sixth form college is housed in a traditional build with a great family feel about it. The students are engaged with their learning in the main, having instilled in them the core values of a better education and the value of learning. The college is situated in the central Manchester area making it very easy to access from all areas, via public transport on the bus or Metrolink. The college also has a couple of campus buildings separate to the main building with plenty of parking available.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
