Job description

An exciting opportunity to teach KS3 and KS4 Art at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ academy for an initial 12 month contract.

  • Full time Teacher of Art required from September 2020
  • Part time would be considered for the ideal candidate
  • Role for 12 months initially, with a view of a permanent contract thereafter
  • Smaller than average, Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary academy in Salford
  • Teaching Art up to GCSE level
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

This secondary academy in Salford has an excellent reputation within the local community and is consistently oversubscribed, with strong leadership and management being a key strength of the school. As an Art Teacher, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake full planning and marking responsibilities and will be teaching the full range of year groups including Year 11 groups. Applicants will ideally have experience of teaching up to GCSE level and will be able to inspire all students regardless of background, whilst being passionate about reducing the gap between Pupil Premium students and their peers.
