Job description

Youth Work - Cover Supervisor - Hampshire - Full time

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for flexible professionals to join our team of cover supervisors. We would be looking for cover supervisors to pair with a specific local secondary school to provide them with emergency and relief cover on the days where they are needed. This work would mean that whilst full time availability would be needed you might only work 3-5 days a week in this school.

If we are unable to find you work at your placement school we will be able to reroute you in the morning to another school where they do have a need.

This position is well paying at GBP70-GBP85 per day with roughly 5 hours of classroom time. This role also has no additional responsibilities attached, making it a great way to gain experience at your own pace!

This work involves working within schools to ensure that the pupils in each class are completing the work set by their normal class teacher and ensuring that the ethos of the school is being upheld by integrating the schools policies surrounding behaviour management into their classroom lessons.

Generally we tend to find that the candidates who excels in this position are those with life experience in areas such as the armed forces, or public services as well as teaching assistants, tutors and LSAs who are looking to take a step up to full classroom responsibility. This position also works well for graduates who are looking to build experience in education whilst getting paid, as well as overseas trained teachers who are looking to build experience in the UK prior to undertaking a role with additional responsibilities.

This is also an excellent opportunity to train to teach in the future with many schools being interested in appointing graduates with an interest in teaching on a permanent basis and supporting them throughout their training and with a permanent teaching role thereafter.

This role is open to all candidates who show an interest and we encourage all candidates with an interest to apply with their CV. We look forward to hearing from you!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
