Supply Staff 

Do you have experience working with secondary aged students in an educational setting? 

Are you looking for regular flexible work in a number of secondary schools in Central and South Manchester? 

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting the following staff for September: 

•    Qualified teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers  

•    Graduates who are considering a career in teaching 

•    Cover Supervisors (experienced in covering whole lessons) 

•    Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants  

•    Experienced Youth Workers and Sports Coaches 

Successful candidates will be required to cover whole classes in the short term absence of teachers across years 7 – 11. They will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour, responding to any questions and queries and ensuring all students complete the set work to the highest standard. Planning and preparation of lessons is not required as all work will be pre-set by the absent teachers. 

All supply staff should have a flexible attitude towards work and will be passionate about supporting young people in their learning. They will act as a positive role model and will be able to create and maintain positive professional relationships with students in all schools. 

Working as a member of flexible supply staff candidates will: 

•    Work up to 5 days per week depending on availability 

•    Have access to an online availability diary to update accordingly 

•    Be paid on a weekly basis (depending on teaching experience and pay scale) 

•    Receive an introduction to a number of schools in Central and South Manchester for regular flexible supply work 

The majority of schools are accessible via public transport links from the city centre and have great parking facilities for those that drive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
