Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a Special Educational Needs School in the Derbyshire area who are looking for a full time, permanent Teacher. The school are looking for an empathetic and understanding Teacher who can effectively communicate and differentiate based on the needs of their pupils. Pupils are aged 9-17 years and have a wide range of needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, Autism and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder.

Support would include having an empathetic approach, ensure all tasks are accessible and understood by all students and understanding that each child is unique and requires different levels of support. Differentiation may include extra information on handouts for tasks, work which requires no written work, work set out on different coloured paper, step by step instructions on how to complete tasks and 1:1 support.

Highlights of this position;

  • Pay range dependent on experience (between £120 - £140 per day)

Ideal candidate will have;

  • Strong differentiation skills
  • The ability to identify the individual needs of your students
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • A Bachelors Degree
  • QTS
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • An empathetic nature
  • Effective communication
  • The ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
  • English as a subject specialism
  • Maths as a subject specialism
  • Science as a subject specialism

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
