Teaching Personnel are currently searching for an enthusiastic and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a school supporting pupils with a range of needs including SLD, Autism, and PMLD in Farnborough.
The school takes in children who are all statemented with SLD and some additional needs such as Autism and speech and language difficulties. This is a challenging, yet rewarding, environment where all learners have an equal opportunity to learn and work in a safe environment where staff work together to create a positive and warm, comfortable setting.
It is essential that the candidate for this role will have the ability to build a great relationship with both the children and teachers alike. Someone with previous experience of working in a busy school or care environment where team work and willingness to get involved is crucial to the role and also to the learning and development of the pupils within the school.
The right candidate for this role will:
• Have availability to work on a full time basis Monday - Friday
• Have the ability to be flexible, be forward thinking and able to work under pressure
• Be pro active and be able to engage students with an approachable personality
• Be patient and can be a positive role model for children
• Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting behaviour difficulties
• Have great references
• Have a DBS or be willing to apply for one
