Science Teacher - St Helens - ASAP

The UK's leading education agency, Teaching Personnel, are currently supporting a co-educational secondary school in St Helens as they wish to appoint a Science teacher on a full time basis ASAP.

Due to an open vacancy in the Science department, the secondary school located in St Helens are looking for a dedicated teacher of Science to join the department as soon as possible. This will be a full time Science teacher post until February initially, with a view of becoming permanent if the incoming Science teacher is a good fit for the school.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS - £23,720 - £39,406
  • Teaching a full Science timetable across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
  • Well structured and supportive secondary school
  • Both Newly Qualified Science teachers and those with experience are encouraged to apply
  • Applicants must hold QTS, specialising in secondary Science

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a full timetable in line with the current national curriculum (KS3 and KS4)
  • Confident delivering lessons to all pupil abilities and be flexible in your approach to teaching.
  • Take on full departmental responsibility: planning and marking, revision sessions, internal training and parent's evening when required.
