Science Teacher

Science teacher required for a long term teaching position from January 2020.

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking applications from Science teacher's seeking to secure their next teaching role in the New Year.

  • Science Teacher - Full-time teaching position from January 2020.
  • Pay in line with newly introduced MPS/UPS standards.
  • Complete planning and marking duties are to be included.
  • Recent experience teaching GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) is required.

Our school caters for pupils aged 11 to 16 years. They provide quality teaching to children in the local area, producing exceptional results at GCSE level. Due to a maternity leave coming up the school are looking for an experienced Science teacher to join their very successful department.

The successful candidate will have both experience of working with gifted and talented pupils and the ability to differentiate their lessons to ensure all pupils achieve above expectations. This is a large, mixed school with excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

The successful teacher will be employed on a temporary basis in the first instance however their could be further employment opportunities following completion of a successful first period.

As this is a full-time role, planning and marking responsibilities will be included and teachers must take responsibility of the achievement of their pupils ensuring that each student has the opportunity to achieve way above their target grades.

This secondary school can be on the outskirts of Wigan and is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Chorley and Preston. The school is well respected within the local community and regularly achieves excellent results in Science. The school also achieved an above average progress 8 score in comparison to other schools in the local area.
