Job description

Part-time Science intervention teacher required to support the learning of students in KS3 and KS4 next academic year.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnershiip with a large secondary school in the Worsley area of Salford to support with the recruitment of a temporary Science intervention teacher to join their team from September 2020.

This position will be offered on a part-time temporary basis for 12 months (0.6 or 0.8), and will incorporate full planning and marking responsibilities throughout the position.

-          Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 - pro rata).

-          Large mixed comprehensive secondary school in Salford.


The incoming Science intervention teacher will join a large faculty, within a newly refurbished secondary school in Salford. Behaviour is positive, and there are stringent policies in place to ensure that students are learning to the best of their ability, teachers can teach and transitions are smooth for staff and students alike.

The school are welcoming applications from Science teachers of all specialisms (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) and the successful Science intervention teacher will be expected to teach all areas to at least Key Stage Three level. Both experienced and newly qualified Science teachers are welcome to apply for this role.

Situated in the Worsley area of Salford, our partner secondary school can be reached via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). There are direct links to the school from Wigan, Trafford and Bolton. Public transport links also mean the school is accessible from central Manchester.
