Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Part Time Maths Graduate post, starting in September
  • Develop an understanding for different teaching and behaviour management strategies
  • Get paid whilst gaining classroom based experience

Are you a Maths graduate wishing to pursue a career in secondary education? Are you looking to enhance your experience prior to starting a teacher training programme?

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of our client secondary school in Oldham that is looking to appoint a Maths graduate on a part time basis, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths graduate to gain classroom based experience before starting a teacher training programme.

• Part time Maths graduate post, starting in September 2017

• Join a supportive Maths department with focus on personal development

• Develop classroom based experience and behaviour management skills

• Get paid between £50-£60 a day

Our client secondary school is located in Oldham, close to Hollinwood with direct access from the M60 motorway and via public transport links situated a short walk from the school. This is a larger than average secondary school with brand new state of the art facilities and excellent provisions for all students to thrive in.

As a Maths graduate you will be working alongside the Maths department to gain an in-depth knowledge of different strategies needed for teaching and behaviour management. The incoming Maths graduate will be responsible for supporting low attaining students and those identified as being gifted and talented, covering lessons in the absence of the teacher and providing feedback to the Maths department on all students’ progress. Previous experience working with youths aged 11-16 years is essential.
