Are you a Maths graduate looking to progress in your career as a Maths teacher and looking for a position working in a secondary school?
Teaching Personnel are working with one of our client secondary schools in North Manchester who are looking for additional support in their Maths department after the Easter break. The successful applicant for this post will provide support in Maths lessons to identified students who may be behind their target grades or struggling to fully access the curriculum due their learning needs.
- Full time position for most suitable Maths graduate
- 30 hours ideal, could be flexible for most suitable applicant
- Excellent experience for those looking at becoming Maths teachers in the future
- April/May 2019 start date, expected to continue until July 2019 at least
- Payment in line with previous experience (£9.50ph - £12.50ph)
Our client secondary school is a small modern secondary school situated just north of the city centre, with good accessibility to Rochdale and Oldham due to the locality to the M60 ring road. Though the school is relatively new, the school has already established itself as one of the top performers in the area with end of year examination results in the top quartile year on year, along with a positive Progress 8 score from last years results. The school are looking to boost their Mathematics results to exceed the national average as they currently fall in line. The incoming Maths graduate will join a modern secondary school with interactive learning spaces and excellent provisions for learning to enhance the learning journey of students.
Whilst working at the school, the successful Maths graduate will;
- Use their subject knowledge to assist students in Mathematics lessons
- Provide additional support in revision and booster sessions
- Deliver intervention lessons to identified students
- Help the teacher provide a safe and positive working environment in the classroom
- Cover parts of the lesson in the absence of the teaching staff
