An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Primary School Teacher to join our client school in Darwen. The school are seeking an upper Key Stage 2 Classroom Teacher from Sept 2019 until the end of the autumn term. The Head Teacher, who will be the main point of contact for this position, has requested the following from the successful candidate:

  • Newly or fully qualified teacher
  • Good knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Recent experience working alongside children in upper Key Stage 2

We are on the lookout for a teacher with high expectations and a knowledge of engaging strategies for managing behaviour, as the role will involve the job of implementing behaviour management strategies, and rules and routines for the year. The dedicated teachers of the school aim to empower the pupils to achieve their dreams and aspirations; accordingly, we are looking for a motivating professional who is creative and promotes a love of learning within their practice.

This busy and friendly school is located at the centre of Darwen. The catchment for the school is mixed, with a high percentage of socially deprived pupils. There are a few children who speak English as an additional language and there is a large number of children with SEN. The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers or teachers who are new to the profession. A newly qualified teacher will receive excellent support from both Teaching Personnel and the school. The successful Teacher will join a positive, willing and committed team who will support the successful teacher throughout the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
