Core subject Tutors - Nottinghamshire

Due to rapid growth in tuition services across Nottinghamshire we are looking to recruit a number of personal tutors to support a range of students on an ad hoc on-going basis.

Who could you expect to be supporting?

• Children in care who require additional support in between school placements

• Students needing additional support to reach their target grades

• Students disengaged from education needing individualised support

• Groups of students at similar levels needing subject booster or catch-up sessions

Subject areas of particular focus for this tuition are English, Maths, Science & pastoral/ emotional support. Therefore a relevant degree, training or experience in either of these areas is preferable.

Due to the flexibility in this tuition we are able to consider applicants who have qualified teacher status and those who do not such as recent graduates or further education specialists.

To be considered for this role, you must have a genuine desire to see students progressing in their education and have the flexibility to support students with a varying range of requirements such as those who may have social, emotional and mental health difficulties, students on the autistic spectrum or those requiring a change of tact to adequately understand what’s required of them.

Ideally, you will have at least 1 year experience in the education sector gained from teaching, mentoring or tutoring and will have or be willing to obtain a DBS registered with the update service and a safeguarding certificate. You will understand barriers students face in education and have a natural ability to think on your feet and solve problems as they arise for the means of progressing students.

You will also have access to your own transport and be flexible to travel across Nottingham required for different tuition referrals.
