Job description

Join the Technology department of an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school, noted for its welcoming culture and strong support for both staff and pupils.

  • Full-time Design and Technology teacher.
  • Required from January 2021 until the end of the academic year.
  • Average sized secondary school in Bury.
  • Paid to teaching scale point – (GBP25,714 - GBP41,604).

Our client secondary school has been recently refurbished and the incoming DT teacher can expect to work in modern facilities with state of the art equipment. The successful teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable to pupils aged 11-16 up to GCSE level. The successful teacher can also expect to work with a variety of topics including 3D drawing, crafting techniques, manufacturing and woodwork.

To be considered for this position, you must hold subject specific qualifications within Design and Technology and have experience teaching across KS3 and GCSE. Both experienced and newly qualified DT Teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.

Our client school is located in Bury and is easily accessible via the M66 and A56 from surrounding areas such as Whitefield, Bolton and Radcliffe. The school can also be accessed from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester via several public transport links.
