We are currently supporting an English Medium secondary school based in the Caerphilly LEA who are looking for a Second Language Welsh Teacher to start in the new academic year. The position would start in September and will be until at least Easter.
If you are a Teacher fluent in Welsh either newly qualified or holding years of experience, then we would welcome you to apply today.
As a dynamic Teacher you will look to add value to any school that you work in, This year has proved to be one of the toughest years for school’s Teachers & Pupils. The ability to adapt and change with the every changing landscape within schools will be important as you will need to be prepared to work with any new guidelines that may occur in the next academic year. The successful Welsh Teacher will be confident enough to manage challenging behaviour and posses a clear understanding of the Welsh language and curriculum.
The Schools and Position
- Full time role Teaching Position
- Starting September 2021
- Pupils aged between 11-19
- Medium sized school approx. 800 pupils
- English Medium Secondary School
- Welsh 2nd Language Teacher
The successful Teachers and the role:
- Hold QTS status including NQT’s
- Show a passion for teaching and the capabilities to teach mixed abilities
- The understanding and the ability to work with children with challenging behaviour
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council
- Positive record of student development, subject knowledge and classroom behaviour management skills are essential
- Full teaching responsibilities including preparation and assessment in Welsh
