Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a secondary trained teacher to work in one of our partnership SEN schools in Plymouth. The role is full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm term time only. You will need to be comfortable teaching across the curriculum including English and Maths, there will also be some planning and preparation responsibilities included.

The school is in Plymouth and caters for pupils with varying needs such as ASC, SEMH difficulties, learning difficulties and other complex needs. The role is to start ASAP but the school would be willing to hear from candidates who have a notice period to see if it is something they can work with.

The successful candidate:

  • Must have experience in teaching in either a mainstream or SEN school.
  • Must have QTS.
  • Must have experience working with secondary aged pupils.
  • Must be confident in the classroom and have excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Will be calm, patient and able to set boundaries.

  • Will be taking on the full teaching responsibilities of a teacher on a daily basis.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of GBP44, plus an annual subscription fee of GBP13 for the Update Service.
