Maths teacher required at Salford secondary school

Our client school has had an unexpected post open in up their department over the October half term break and urgently need to appoint a qualified Maths teacher to take over a predominantly Key Stage 3 timetable on a full time basis.

- Full time post as a Maths teacher with an immediate start

- Earn up to £165 per day on supply initially

Our client school is a newly established Secondary in Salford, a short drive from the M602 and M60 motorways, with excellent public transport links with the local rail station being a 5 minute walk away. Our client school is smaller than the average secondary, but numbers are increasing year on year as the school moved to a purpose built site in 2012 with the capabilities to enrol more students to have the numbers in line with the average secondary. The academy meets the government’s current floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for students’ attainment and progress and with continued support from senior leadership, governors and academy sponsors the implemented action plan looks to continue the rise in academic achievement.

As the school looks to push results across Key Stages 3 and 4 closer to the national average, the incoming Maths teacher will be expected to be able to deliver a high calibre of lessons to engage and motivate students to achieve their potential and beyond. You may encounter low-level disruption, but the school has an excellent behaviour management policy to support incoming staff. As this is mainly a lower Key Stage post, GCSE experience is not essential, but would be preferred.
