Exciting new opportunity available within the Maths department of a secondary school based in Salford.

  • Full-time Maths Teacher required from April 2020 until the end of the academic year.
  • Secondary school based in Bury graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
  • Teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Paid in line with teaching scale point - GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum.
  • Must hold subject specific qualifications within Mathematics.

This large mixed comprehensive school located in Salford is looking for an additional Maths teacher due to a member of staff going on maternity leave after the Easter break. This role is guaranteed until the end of the academic year with the potential of continuing into the academic year 2020/2021.

The successful Maths teacher will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver inclusive and differentiated Maths lessons to meet the needs of learners at various levels of learning. The incoming teacher will also be expected to monitor and evaluate pupils’ class work and report these back to senior members of staff in order to take appropriate action when needed. The incoming teacher will also be expected to manage behaviour in line with the school behaviour policies. Some students are  known to show occasional challenging behaviour due to their Special Educational Needs and any experience with this is desirable.

Our client school is located within the Eccles region of Salford and can be accessed via the M61 and A580 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For candidates who do not drive, the school can also be easily accessed via public transport from neighbouring areas such as Bolton central Manchester and Trafford.
