Early Years & Nursery Staff Needed – Grimsby and Surrounding Areas

Due to increased demand from nurseries and EYFS settings across Grimsby, Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and dynamic childcare professionals for both short-term cover and permanent positions.

What We’re Looking For:
We need Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants or those with childcare qualifications to support children under 5. We're seeking individuals who are:

Creative and imaginative in their approach to child development.

Comfortable guiding play-based learning and fostering curiosity.
-
Compassionate and nurturing, especially when supporting children with SEN needs (experience is desirable).

Confident in managing personal care responsibilities when needed.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
-
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education Studies, or a related field.

Experience with:
-
Planning and observing child development.
-
Using IT tools like iPads and platforms such as Tapestry to record progress.
-
Personal care and hygiene routines.
-
Supporting children’s speech, language, and communication development.
-
-
A vibrant, engaging personality suited to an Early Years setting.
The Role:
You’ll be working with small groups or larger class teams, depending on the nursery’s needs. Responsibilities include:

Engaging children in structured and creative activities that promote learning and growth.
-
Monitoring developmental milestones and adapting daily plans to support individual progress.
-
Building trusting relationships that make children feel safe, supported, and valued.
-
Supporting children with additional learning needs, potentially in 1:1 roles if required.
We work with settings across Grimsby and surrounding areas. While access to your own transport is preferred, we will match you with placements that are accessible to you. You may be contacted for pre-booked shifts or same-day bookings between 7:00–9:00 AM.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
