Learning Support Assistant Level 2

Grade 4 (£18,672 - £20,141 pro rata)

Fixed term 35 hours per week/ Term time only

A fantastic opportunity has come available for an individual with the enthusiasm and commitment to support teaching and learning of pupils. The school is a smaller than average catholic primary school that is located in the Hindley area of Wigan and is looking to appoint a learning support assistant to start from September 2019. The school are looking for an individual that is committed and reliable to work with pupils across school, providing each pupil with the skills that they need in order to over come any barriers to learning that they may have. You will be expected to provide support for the call teacher, working with small groups carrying out specific intervention and supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis where required.

In order to be successful you should:

  • Be creative, enthusiastic and engaging
  • Have a strong passion for helping pupils to succeed in what they do
  • Be able to support a strong Catholic ethos
  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Have previous experience working with pupils
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Be a good communicator and work well as part of a team
