History Teacher in Chorley

The role:

Start date: September 2019

End date: Initially, end of February 2020

Full time: 5 days a week

Pay rate: From £500 - £800 per week!

A mixed secondary school in Chorley which is seeking a strong History teacher. The school is Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' and achieves higher than national averages in terms of student progress and performance in progress. Behaviour across the school is exemplary and the level of respect shown amongst students and staff is second to none. There are modern facilities throughout the school and it is ideally located with close by transport links and on site parking.

You will teach History across KS3 and KS4 until the end of February 2020. The position could continue into more long-term or permanent for the right candidate. Newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply for this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and delivering quality History lessons
  • Linking lessons with the use of challenging homework
  • Marking and providing relevant feedback on completed work

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
  • Be able to supply at least 2 education/school based references.
