Graduate Teaching Assistant - Oldham

Are you a recent graduate of English, Maths or Science? Do you want to put your degree to direct use within a secondary school?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with one of our partner schools in Oldham who are seeking a number of core subject graduates to join their English, Maths and Science departments as Teaching Assistants. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to our partner school recently securing extra funding to support identified students.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant positions available with immediate starts

  • Support key students that have been identified alongside the Head of Department
  • Earn up to £1300 per month

Our partner secondary school in Oldham is located close to the town centre and is easily accessible via public transport including local bus routes and the tram network. This large and oversubscribed secondary academy currently has over 1200+ students currently enrolled, and they have access to excellent and state of the art facilities since they moved to their new campus in 2012.

Working as a Teaching Assistant at our partner secondary school, the successful candidate will be supporting a number of students during their lessons that may have a range of complex needs. These Special Educational Needs (SEND) include behavioural complexities, physical disabilities and Mental Health issues including SEMH. The role will involve 1:1 support as well as potentially supporting students in small group scenarios, and potentially delivering pre-planned work on behalf of the class teacher.
