This school provides the catholic schools direct programme, making it the ideal opportunity to secure a place on a teacher training course in the future. The successful applicants will hold a range of responsibilities including;

  • Supporting pupils learning across a range of subjects including; Maths, English, Science, Humanities, MFL and PE.
  • Delivering tuition to pupils preparing for GCSE examinations.
  • Providing support to the class teacher and working closely with pupils who require additional support within their studies.

Within the schools latest Ofsted report, the school was judged as good with pupil behaviour being highlighted as outstanding making it the ideal school to enhance your experience working within secondary education.

It is located on the outskirts of Wigan very close to the East Lancashire road. It is easily accessible from the town centre and the surrounding areas of St Helens and Warrington.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
