Future Teachers Programme

Job description

Teaching Personnel created the future teachers programme to help the national teacher shortage in secondary schools and those undertaking schools direct teacher training programmes. As a result the Future Teacher initiative was created giving graduates a year long school based placement as a teaching assistant before going on to the schools teacher training programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for those considering a career in teaching but want to ensure it's the right career path. Graduates in English, Maths, Science and Languages are encouraged to apply to support students in numeracy, literacy and those who use English as an additional language.

Within this role you will be supporting fully qualified teachers in a classroom of up to 35 students. You will also be given the opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis providing intensive support so students are progressing throughout the year in line with their expected levels of progress.
