Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School, Moston

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a forward-thinking, inclusive primary school in Moston that is committed to supporting every child’s academic, social, and emotional development.
The school is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their warm and welcoming team from May. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a supportive, collaborative environment.
About the Role
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support, plan, and deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects. You will also lead targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions, contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to boost pupil progress
- Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with additional learning needs
- Prepare, organise, and maintain classroom resources and learning materials
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
- Support children’s social development and emotional wellbeing
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress as required
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school
- Strong understanding of child development and effective classroom practice
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
- A proactive, flexible, and nurturing approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
