We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join this warm and welcoming school community from February. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to plan, deliver and support engaging lessons across a variety of subjects. You’ll also provide bespoke one-to-one and small-group interventions, helping to create an inclusive atmosphere where all pupils can grow and succeed.
Key Responsibilities
• Support teachers in planning and delivering stimulating, well-structured lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to enhance pupil progress
• Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with additional learning needs
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials
• Promote a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment
• Support pupils’ social development and emotional wellbeing
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents and external professionals
• Monitor, record and report on pupil progress as required

• A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary setting
• Strong understanding of child development and effective classroom practice
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
• A proactive, flexible and nurturing approach to supporting young learners
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
