The school is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their warm and welcoming team from May. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a supportive, collaborative environment.

About the Role

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support, plan, and deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects. You will also lead targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions, contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to boost pupil progress
• Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with additional learning needs
• Prepare, organise, and maintain classroom resources and learning materials
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
• Support children’s social development and emotional wellbeing
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
• Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress as required

What We’re Looking For

• A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school
• Strong understanding of child development and effective classroom practice
• Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
• A proactive, flexible, and nurturing approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
