Cover Supervisor

  • Bolton based Cover Supervisor's required in September 2019.
  • Full-time, Part-time and flexible day to day opportunities available
  • Competitive pay with earning potential of around £350 per week
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for a DBS and register it to the update service

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting graduates, from all disciplines, to work within a number of partner secondary schools as a Cover Supervisor or as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. The role of a cover supervisor will give you an excellent platform to experience teaching and the necessary experience of working within a secondary school environment if you are considering a teacher training course in the future.

To be successful in this role will need to be flexible and able to think on your feet, you will be responsible for leading classes in subjects both within and outside of your subject knowledge. You will be able to lead lessons effectively and will be able to absorb and transfer information; working to specific instruction and lesson plans to ensure that students have see minimal disruption when a teacher is absent.

"Working as a Cover Supervisor will enable you to build a portfolio and continue onto a PGCE or complete a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training course (SCITT) in the future."

Teaching Personnel will offer training and support to ensure that any interested applicants are fully prepared before entering a school classroom environment.
