Are you a confident, resilient and empathetic individual with experience working with young people who display disruptive and or challenging behaviour?

Teaching Personnel are currently in the process of shortlisting for various Behaviour Support Mentor roles based across the Salford Local Education Authority (LEA) from September 2018, throughout the academic year.

• Full time and or part-time opportunities available for Behaviour Support Mentors - from September 2018, based across Salford, Greater Manchester.
• Opportunity to gain practical hands on experience whiles getting PAID.
• Access to CPD training programmes through our partner Secondary schools.
• Earn up to £1200 per month.

Behaviour Support Mentor responsibilities will include but may not be limited to;

• Experience working with young people at a teaching and/or learning capacity is essential to be considered for this role, due to the nature of the pupils you will be supporting.
• De-escalate, engage and support pupils who display disruptive and or challenging behaviour alongside the class teacher and SENCO.
• Work alongside SENCO to support identified pupils in accordance to school policies.
• Experience of working with challenging young people and the ability to defuse and de-escalate their behaviour.
• Resilient, empathetic and pupil centred approach and the ability to work under high pressure situations.

Salford is easily accessible via the M602 and the A580 (East Lancs Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Manchester. There are also a range of public transport options with links throughout Greater Manchester and beyond.
