Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a high number of schools and academy trusts who are looking for Teaching Assistants with sport based backgrounds and experiences.

These roles are supporting children and young people with additional needs who struggle to access mainstream education. A lot of their timetable is based outdoors doing different activities and learning. The ideal candidate must have experiences of working with children and young people with sufficient evidence to show the relevant roles worked.

With the pupils having specific timetables based on and off site, the ideal candidate must drive and have access to their own vehicle.

You will need a minimum of 2 years of working with children and young people in an educational setting.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate, driven and wanting to support children and young people who are struggling to access mainstream education. The roles are full time ongoing and working from 8:30-3:30 5 days a week.

If you have excellent communication skills, an understanding and capacity to manage young people with learning and behavioural difficulties, and the desire to help make a difference to young peoples lives, then we would like to hear from you.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
